Nirvana's Thermoacoustic Power System (TAPS™) is a NASA-derived Stirling engine-based platform that converts heat into electricity, cooling, heating, and hot water using a near-solid-state architecture with no compressors, no refrigerants, and near-zero moving parts.

TAPS is designed to scale from ultra-small applications, such as personal cooling or night vision goggles, to 25 kW+ per individual unit, with modular daisy-chained deployments capable of supporting MW-scale data center, industrial, defense, commercial building, and residential energy needs.

What TAPS Does

TAPS converts thermal energy into useful power and cooling through high-efficiency thermoacoustic processes. The same core platform can be configured for power generation, refrigerant-free heat pumps, industrial thermal management, hot water, and cryocooling.

Originally developed for deep-space missions where maintenance is impossible and reliability is critical, TAPS is designed for decades of maintenance-free operation in the world's most demanding environments.

The platform can leverage electricity, natural gas, hydrogen, geothermal, solar thermal, JP-8, waste heat, and other renewable or conventional heat sources.
